- COPA-COGECA (Comité des organisations professionnelles agricoles-Comité général de la coopération agricole de l'Union européenne / Committee of Professional Agricultural Organisations-General Confederation of Agricultural Cooperatives), is the union of the two big agricultural umbrella organisations COPA and COGECA and the strongest interest group for European farmers. Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Brussels, its activity focus is on the Common Agricultural Policy and other policy areas relevant to farmers and agri-cooperatives, such as: food safety, animal health and welfare, plant health, environment, research and innovation, trade etc.. The current President of COPA is FNSEA President Christiane Lambert from France (since 2020),the current president of COGECA is Ramon Armengol of the cooperativas agro-alimentarias (since 2019), the Secretary General is Pekka Pesonen from Finland (since 2012). - COPA-COGECA (Eigenschreibweise auch Copa-Cogeca) ist der in Brüssel angesiedelte Zusammenschluss von COPA und COGECA, der beiden großen landwirtschaftlichen Dachorganisationen in der Europäischen Union. Er besteht seit 1962 und ist insbesondere auf der Ebene der gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik (GAP) aktiv. COPA ist der europäische Dachverband der Landwirte („europäischer Bauernverband“) und COGECA ist der europäische Dachverband der landwirtschaftlichen Genossenschaften. Gemeinsam bilden sie die stärkste repräsentative Interessenvertretung der europäischen Landwirtschaft. Der organisatorische Zusammenschluss der beiden unabhängigen Verbände erfolgt vor allem über diverse gemeinsame Arbeitsgruppen und ein gemeinsames Sekretariat, das sich seit 1962 in Brüssel befindet. Präsident ist seit 2017 Joachim Rukwied aus Deutschland, Generalsekretär ist seit 2012 aus Finnland. (de)

Fondée en 1962 et basée à Bruxelles, son activité se concentre sur la politique agricole commune et d'autres domaines politiques pertinents pour les agriculteurs et les coopératives agricoles, tels que : la sécurité alimentaire, la santé et le bien-être des animaux, la santé des végétaux, l'environnement, la recherche et l'innovation, le commerce etc... - COPA COGECA – europejska organizacja zrzeszająca rolnicze związki zawodowe i organizacje spółdzielcze, powstała w 1962 w wyniku połączenia COPA – Komitetu Rolniczych Organizacji Związkowych z COGECA – Głównym Komitetem Spółdzielczości Rolniczej. Ma za zadanie reprezentować interesy rolników w UE. Polskę w COPA COGECA reprezentują: Federacja Branżowych Związków Producentów Rolnych, Niezależny Samorządny Związek Zawodowy Rolników Indywidualnych „Solidarność”, Związek Zawodowy Rolników „Ojczyzna”, Związek Zawodowy Rolnictwa „Samoobrona”, oraz Krajowa Rada Izb Rolniczych.
