- Der Berkeley Sound (französisch Baye Accaron, spanisch Bahía de la Anunciación) ist eine fjordähnliche Bucht im Nordosten der Falklandinseln. In der etwa 30 km langen und maximal 11,5 km breiten Bucht befinden sich mehrere kleine Inseln wie Hog Island, Long Island oder das geschützte Gebiet Kidney Island. Die landschaftlich karge, durch Eiszeiten geformte Bucht wurde Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts durch französische Kolonisten besiedelt die hier die Siedlung Port Louis gründeten. 1834 beschrieb Charles Darwin im Rahmen einer Expedition mit der HMS Beagle den Berkley Sound als hügligen Landstrich der armselig und trostlos wirke. Heute liegen an der Küste der Bucht mehrere kleine Ansiedlungen wie , Johnson’s Harbour oderPort Louis. Die Bucht ist ein bedeutender Umschlagplatz der hiesigen fischverarbeitenden Betriebe. (de)
- Berkeley Sound is an inlet, or fjord in the north east of East Falkland in the Falkland Islands. The inlet was the site of the first attempts at colonisation of the islands, at Port Louis, by the French. Berkeley Sound has several smaller bays within it – Uranie Bay, Port Louis harbour and Johnson's Harbour bay, separated by Grave Point, and includes islands such as Hog Island, Kidney Island (a nature reserve) and Long Island. It was enlarged as the result of glacial action. Berkeley Sound was visited by Charles Darwin during his round-the-world voyage on HMS Beagle in 1834. He found it an "undulating land, with a desolate and wretched aspect". Berkeley Sound is used by the fishing industry as a designated locality for the transshipment of fish, with accidental oil spills having occurred in the process. (en)
- Bahía de la Anunciación (en francés: Baye Accaron, en inglés: Berkeley Sound) es una entrada o fiordo en el noreste de la Isla Soledad en las Islas Malvinas. Este seno fue el sitio donde se desarrollaron los primeros intentos de colonización de las Islas Malvinas, con el asentamiento de Puerto Soledad (Port Louis), por los franceses. El seno tiene varias bahías más pequeñas dentro de ella: Bahía Urania, y bahía del puerto Johnson, separados por (Grave para los británicos), e incluye islas como Hog, Celebroña (una reserva natural) y Larga. Actualmente, la bahía es utilizada por la industria pesquera en las islas funcionando como una localidad designada para el transbordo de pescado. Algunos derrames accidentales de petróleo han ocurrido en el proceso. (es)
