- Beni Guil (Arabic: بني غل) is an Arab tribe in Morocco, and are mostly nomadic Bedouins. In the 10th century, after migrating from the Arabian Peninsula, the tribe was given the right of grazing on the land of east Morocco and west Algeria by Al-Mu'izz li-Din Allah, the Arab Fatimid caliph of North Africa. The tribe had a population of 54,000 people in 1994, and they inhabit a vast desert territory in eastern Morocco of 25,000 square kilometres. They remain as Morocco's largest livestock and they raise as many as 600,000 sheep, 200,000 goats, and 11,000 cattle in an average yield-year. (en)
- Beni Guil (en arabe: بنو غل) est une fédération des tribus arabes. qui fut installée dans la région de Tendrara (sud d oujda) (région Sud orientale du Maroc) depuis le Moyen Âge, où ils s'étaient vu accorder la permission de pâturage dans les plateaux de l'Oriental marocain. Ils ont donné leur nom à une race de moutons connue sous le nom de daghma ou hamra en référence à la couleur de sa laine. Cette grande tribu possède plusieurs branches au sud de la ville d’Oujda dans l’oriental marocain, à partir des terres de la petite ville de Bergem jusqu’au fief de la tribu qui se situe vers la ville Tendrara en passant par la ville de Bouarfa ! L'origine des Beni Guil d’après les ancêtres de cette grande tribu. Ils étaient nomades et venaient de la péninsule arabique. Ils sont arriver à dos de cheval d’où le nom Beni guil en arabe (beni : fils ; khail ou guil : cheval). (fr)
