- The Battle of Coyotepe Hill was a significant engagement during the United States occupation of Nicaragua from August through November 1912 during the insurrection staged by Minister of War General Luis Mena against the government of President Adolfo Díaz. Coyotepe is an old fortress located on a 500-foot hill overlooking the strategic railroad line near Masaya roughly halfway between Managua and Granada, Nicaragua. (en)
- Die Schlacht von Coyotepe (Spanisch: Batalla de Coyotepe, Englisch: Battle of Coyotepe Hill) fand am 3./4. Oktober 1912 im Raum der Festung Coyotepe bei Masaya statt und bildete den Höhepunkt der US-Militärintervention in Nicaragua 1909–1925. In ihr kämpften konservative nicaraguanische Regierungstruppen unter Führung von General Emiliano Chamorro Vargas mit Unterstützung des US Marine Corps und Landungstruppen der US Navy gegen liberale Aufständische unter Führung von General Benjamín Zeledón. Mit der Niederlage der liberalen Truppen und dem Tod Zeledóns endete der Widerstand der Liberalen Partei gegen die US-Intervention und sicherte die von der US-Regierung Taft favorisierte Herrschaft der konservativen Partei unter Staatspräsident Adolfo Díaz. - La Batalla de El Coyotepe y La Barranca más conocida como Batalla de Coyotepe, fue una acción bélica que se desarrolló entre el 3 y 4 de octubre de 1912 en los cerros "Coyotepe" y "La Barranca" cercanos a la ciudad de Masaya, en el departamento del mismo nombre, en el marco de la guerra civil conocida en la historia de Nicaragua como Revolución libero-conservadora de 1912, siendo la acción militar de mayor envergadura de ese conflicto. Se enfrentaron en combate directo tropas de los Marines que ocupaban Nicaragua contra revolucionarios nicaragüenses (liberales y conservadores). En apoyo de las tropas estadounidenses participaron tropas del , llamado La Constabularia, leales al gobierno conservador de Adolfo Díaz Recinos. Las fuerzas estadounidenses comandadas por el Coronel USMC sitian y bombardean con piezas de artillería las posiciones defensivas de los revolucionarios nicaragüenses al mando del Héroe Nacional de Nicaragua, Doctor y General Benjamín Zeledón, luego de encarnizados combates logran desalojarlos.
