Battle Creek is a river that begins in south-eastern Alberta along the border with Saskatchewan, in the Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park. It flows into the Milk River in Blaine County, Montana. Battle Creek and other tributaries of the Milk River in the southern portions of Alberta and Saskatchewan is one of three drainage areas of Canada where the water ultimately flows into the Gulf of Mexico, the others being the Poplar River and Big Muddy drainage in Saskatchewan. Battle Creek flows for 203 kilometres (126 mi) and has a drainage area of 2,600 square kilometres (1,000 sq mi).
