Baron Basset, of Stratton in the County of Cornwall, was a title in the Peerage of Great Britain. It was created in 1797 for Francis Basset, 1st Baron de Dunstanville, with remainder, failing heirs male of his own, to his daughter the Honourable Frances Basset. He had already been created a baronet, of Tehidy in the County of Cornwall, in the Baronetage of Great Britain in 1779, and Baron de Dunstanville, of Tehidy in the County of Cornwall, in the Peerage of Ireland in 1796. Both these titles were created with normal remainder to heirs male. Lord de Dunstanville and Basset was the eldest son of Francis Basset.
