- Der Baklan Point (englisch; bulgarisch нос Баклан nos Baklan) ist eine felsige und 450 m lange Landspitze an der Nordküste von Nelson Island im Archipel der Südlichen Shetlandinseln. Sie bildet 1,85 km ostnordöstlich des Retamales Point und 3,47 km westsüdwestlich des Cariz Point die östliche Begrenzung der Einfahrt zur Argonavt Cove. Britische Wissenschaftler kartierten sie 1968. Die bulgarische Kommission für Antarktische Geographische Namen benannte sie 2018 nach dem Trawler Baklan, der von den 1970er bis in die frühen 1990er Jahre für den Fischfang in den Gewässern um Südgeorgien, um die Kerguelen, um die Südlichen Orkneyinseln und um die Südlichen Shetlandinseln tätig war. - Baklan Point (Bulgarian: нос Баклан, ‘Nos Baklan’ \'nos ba-'klan\) is the rocky east entrance point of Argonavt Cove on the north coast of Nelson Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica projecting 450 m northwards. The area was visited by early 19th century sealers. The point is “named after the ocean fishing trawler Baklan of the Bulgarian company Ocean Fisheries – Burgas whose ships operated in the waters of South Georgia, Kerguelen, the South Orkney Islands, South Shetland Islands and Antarctic Peninsula from 1970 to the early 1990s. The Bulgarian fishermen, along with those of the Soviet Union, Poland and East Germany are the pioneers of modern Antarctic fishing industry.” (en)
