- Der Automobile Club de Monaco, auch als ACM abgekürzt, ist der bekannteste Motorsportverein Monacos und zugleich Träger der nationalen Sporthoheit im Automobilsport. Er wurde 1890, ursprünglich als Fahrrad-Sport-Club gegründet, wechselte öfter den Namen und erhielt seine heutige Bezeichnung im Jahr 1925. Heute ist der ACM vor allem als Veranstalter des Großen Preises von Monaco und der Rallye Monte Carlo international bekannt. Der ACM vertritt die nationalen Interessen im Weltverband FIA und hat bei der FIA den Status eines ASN (franz.: Autorité Sportive Nationale, Träger der nationalen Sporthoheit). Entsprechend ist der Automobile Club de Monaco für die Umsetzung und Überwachung der internationalen Vorschriften und für die Vergabe von Lizenzen zuständig. - The Automobile Club de Monaco is a motoring club based in Monaco. The club serves as the governing body for motorsport within Monaco, and organises the prestigious Monaco Grand Prix and Monte Carlo Rally. It is a member of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, representing Monaco as a mobility and sporting club. Founded in 1890 as an association of cyclists, the Sport Vélocipédique Monégasque, the club began to incorporate motorists in 1907 and was renamed the Sport Vélocipédique et Automobile Monégasque. Alexandre Noghès, the SVAM's president, started planning the principality's first international motorsport event, the Monte Carlo Rally, at the behest of Albert I, Prince of Monaco. The rally would start at points across Europe, and converge on Monaco to finish. The club ceased to organise cycling events following the First World War and was renamed the Automobile Club de Monaco in 1925. The ACM applied to the AIACR (the forerunner to the FIA) to be upgraded from a regional French club to a full national member, but had their application refused because no motorsport event was held entirely within Monaco's borders. Antony Noghès, the son of the club's President, organised the inaugural Monaco Grand Prix in 1929 on a circuit around the streets of Monaco, and the ACM was promptly admitted to the AIACR. The Monaco Grand Prix was part of the European Championship in the 1930s, and was included in the inaugural Formula One World Championship in 1950. The Grand Prix has been held continuously since 1955, and despite minor modifications over the years, it is still largely run over the same circuit as the inaugural race in 1929. The ACM also organises the Historic Grand Prix of Monaco, a series of races for historic Grand Prix cars held over the Circuit de Monaco, and the Rallye Monte-Carlo Historique classic rally. Other motorsport events held by the club include the Monaco ePrix and the Junior Monaco Kart Cup. (en)

- Automobile Club de Monaco (ACM) är ett idrottsförbund som sanktionerar motorsport inom furstendömet Monaco och är medlem i det internationella motorsportförbundet Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). De sanktionerar och arrangerar Monacos Grand Prix i Formel 1, Monte Carlo-rallyt i Rally-VM, i Formel E och . Idrottsförbundet bildades 1890 som Sport Vélocipédique Monégasque och var initialt ett förbund för enbart cykelsport. 1907 blev det även ett förbund för motorsport och fick namnet Sport Vélocipédique et Automobile Monégasque. Den regerande fursten Albert I av Monaco beordrade förbundet om att skapa ett internationellt motorsportarrangemang och 1911 arrangerade man Monte Carlo-rallyt för första gången och det kördes i olika delar av Europa och avslutades i furstendömet. Den 29 mars 1925 upphörde man med cykelsporten och blev ett renodlat motorsportförbund, man antog samtidigt Automobile Club de Monaco som sitt förbundsnamn. ACM var vid den tidpunkten klassificerad som ett regionalt franskt motorsportförbund, trots Monacos självständighet från Frankrike ett halvt millennium tidigare och från monegaskernas sida ville man ha ett eget nationellt. De ansökte om att bli det hos det dåvarande internationella motorsportförbundet Association Internationale des Automobile Clubs Reconnus (AIACR), där fick ACM dock avslag med motiveringen om att furstendömet arrangerade inga motorsportarrangemang inom sitt territorium och därför kunde inte AIACR klassificera det som nationellt. ACM svarade med att utse om att konstruera en racingbana i syfte att arrangera sitt första nationella motorsportarrangemang i , ett drag som gjorde att ACM fick som de ville och blev klassificerad som just ett nationellt motorsportförbund av AIACR.
