  • Book does not mention existence of short story. (en)
  • Although this novel involves time travel, this section is not very clear on how it relates with the Assiti Shards and the time travel could have been caused by a different phenomenon. (en)
  • Had this project advance far enough along at the time of Flint's death that it would ever be seen in print? With four weeks left in 2022, I seriously doubt that this short story would get published before the end of year. Flint had hundreds of ideas. There were rumors that Flint was working on an Assiti Shards novel with Sarah Hoyt as far back as 2008 that people had claimed was "coming soon". That book never materalized. This section will be removed before the end of 2023 if there is no evidence that this short story was ever written prior to Eric's untimely death. (en)
