- علي حسين سباط هو مواطن لبناني ومضيف سابق في برنامج حواري شهير كان يبث على القنوات الفضائية في جميع أنحاء الشرق الأوسط. وصف برنامجه على أنه «خط ساخن نفسي شرق أوسطي» من قبل أحد المصادر، حيث كان يقدم التنبؤات والمشورة للجمهور. تم اعتقاله في المملكة العربية السعودية بتهمة «السحر» في شهر أيار عام 2008 أثناء سفره لأداء العمرة، وحكم على سباط بالإعدام بقطع الرأس. وبعد الضغط على الحكومة السعودية من قبل الحكومة اللبنانية وجماعات حقوق الإنسان تم إطلاق سراحه من قبل المحكمة العليا السعودية. - Ali Hussain Sibat is a Lebanese national and former host of the popular call-in show that aired on satellite TV across the Middle East. On the show - described as "a Middle Eastern psychic hot line" by one source - he made predictions and gave advice to the audience. He is perhaps most famous outside of Lebanon for his arrest in Saudi Arabia on charges of "sorcery" in May 2008 while traveling to perform the Umrah pilgrimage. Sibat was sentenced to death by beheading. Following pressure on the Saudi government by the Lebanese government and human rights groups, he was released by the Saudi Supreme Court. (en)
