- Alan Davey (born 11 September 1963 in Ipswich, Suffolk, England) is an English musician, best known as the former bassist with Hawkwind. He is the original bass player in Gunslinger which started in 1979 and is still the bass player and vocalist for Gunslinger. He was writing a new album for 2018 release on Cleopatra Records, as well as two solo albums for 2018 and 2019 release, and is also writing music for movies and TV shows. He has also played and recorded with Meads of Asphodel, Dumpy's Rusty Nuts, Spirits Burning, Bedouin (1998-2003). He formed with the newly re-imagined Hawklords in 2008 with Nik Turner until 2012 and since then formed The Psychedelic Warlords in 2013 until 2015. (en)

Il est en premier lieu bassiste, mais joue également aux claviers et chante sur de nombreux morceaux. Il réalise des créations musicales parallèlement à son travail au sein d'Hawkwind. Il est également membre fondateur du groupe Gunslinger. En 2012 il fonde The Psychedelic Warlords, un groupe de reprises de Hawkwind. Ils se produisent au Roadburn Festival en 2013. En 2015, désireux de composer des morceaux originaux, ils se renomment Eclectic Devils. Lemmy de Motörhead l'a surnommé " Bass Assassin 2" dans les remerciements du livret de l'album " Orgasmatron " (fr)
