Dans cette usine, des avions ont été construits de 1929 à 1949 par Sikorsky et Vought. À partir de 1951, Avco y a fabriqué des moteurs d'avions, des moteurs d'hélicoptères et enfin des moteurs de chars de combat pour le complexe militaro-industriel des États-Unis.
