- أمراض الغدة الكظرية أو اضطرابات الغدة الكظرية هي الحالات التي تتداخل مع الأداء الطبيعي للغدة الكظرية، وقد تسبب هذه الاضطرابات إما فَرط أو قصور في عَمل الغُدة، وقد تكون هذه الاضطرابات وراثية أو مُكتسبة. تُفرز الغدة الكظرية مجموعة من الهرمونات والتي تلعب دوراً في عملية النُمو والتطور وتحكم في الإجهاد، كما تُساعد هذه الهرمونات على تنظيم وظائف الكُلى. تتكون الغدة الكظرية من قِسمين: القشرة الكظرية ولب الغدة الكظرية، حيثُ تنتج القشرة الهرمونات القشرية المعدنية والتي تعمل على تنظيم توازن الأملاح والماء في الجسم، كما أنها تُفرز الهرمونات القشرية السكرية (تتضمن الكروتيزول) وهي مُتعددة الوظائف في الجِسم، وتفرز القشرة أيضاً الأندروجينات وهي هرمونات تشبه في وظائفها التستوستيرون، أما اللب فيُنتج الأدرينالين (إبينيفرين) وَالنورإبينفرين. الاضطرابات في الغدة الكظرية قد تؤثر على واحد أو أكثر من هذه الهرمونات. - Adrenal gland disorders (or diseases) are conditions that interfere with the normal functioning of the adrenal glands. Adrenal disorders may cause hyperfunction or hypofunction, and may be congenital or acquired. The adrenal gland produces hormones that affects growth, development and stress, and also helps to regulate kidney function. There are two parts of the adrenal glands, the adrenal cortex and the adrenal medulla. The adrenal cortex produces mineralocorticoids, which regulate salt and water balance within the body, glucocorticoids (including cortisol) which have a wide number of roles within the body, and androgens, hormones with testosterone-like function. The adrenal medulla produces epinephrine (adrenaline) and norepinephrine (noradrenaline). Disorders of the adrenal gland may affect the production of one or more of these hormones. (en)
