- عبد الوهاب بنمنصور مُؤرخ سابق للمملكة المغربية، ولد يوم 17 نوفمبر 1920 بمدينة فاس، حيث تلقى تعليمه الابتدائي والثانوي والعالي.وافته المنية يوم 12 نوفمبر 2008. التحق بنمنصور، الحائز على الإجازة في الآداب والشريعة الإسلامية، منذ صغره بالحركة الوطنية، قبل أن يغادر المغرب ليناضل إلى جانب الحركات الوطنية لشمال أفريقيا من أجل تحرير المغرب العربي وتشييد وحدته. بعد عودته إلى المغرب غذاة الاستقلال 1956، عمل أستاذا للتعليم الثانوي بالرباط وسلا، نائبا لمدير الإذاعة الوطنية سنة 1957 ورئيسا للقسم السياسي بالديوان الملكي في سبتمبر 1957. في سنة 1963 عينه الملك الحسن الثاني مؤرخا للمملكة ورئيسا ، ثم مديرا للشؤون السياسية بوزارة الداخلية، ومديرا عاما للإذاعة والتلفزة سنة 1965.وفي يناير 1967، تم تعيين بنمنصور محافظا لضريح محمد الخامس لتضاف إليه سنة 1975 مسؤولية مدير الوثائق الملكية.حاز المؤرخ عبد الوهاب بنمنصور، الذي يعتبر عضوا مؤسسا لأكاديمية المملكة المغربية، على جائزة المغرب مرتين عن كتابيه «قبائل المغرب» و«الحسن الثاني»، كما حصل سنة 1989 على جائزة الاستحقاق الكبرى. - Abdelwahab Benmansour (Arabic: عبد الوهاب بن منصور ; born 1920, Fes – died 13 November 2008, Rabat) was a Moroccan historian and civil servant. His most important work is "The tribes of Morocco" (Arabic: قبائل المغرب), a historical study of Moroccan tribes and their origins. He also edited some previously unpublished works such as a 15th-century detailed manuscript about the history of Ceuta as well as works by al-Baydhaq and Ibn Tumart, the eminent Imam and spiritual leader of the Almohads. Abdelwahab Benmasour was the official histographer of the Kingdom of Morocco working under Mohammed V, Hassan II and Mohammed VI. (en)
