- عبد الرحمن الفاسي (1040هـ - 1096هـ / 1631م - 1685م) هو فقيه مالكي صوفي، من أهل المغرب. هو أبو زيد عبد الرحمن ابن الشيخ عبد القادر الفاسي الفِهري، ولد بمدينة فاس وبها نشأ، وأخذ عن والده عبد القادر بن علي بن يوسف الفاسي (ت. 1091 هـ)، وعمّه أحمد بن علي الفاسي (ت. 1062 هـ)، وقريبه (ت. 1084 هـ)، و الشيخ حمدون بن محمد الأبار (ت. 1071 هـ)، وأحمد بن محمد الزموري (ت. 1057 هـ)، وأحمد بن محمد القلصادي (ت. 1063 هـ)، ومحمد بن أحمد الصبّاغ (ت. 1076 هـ). - Abu-Zaid Abd-ar-Rahman Abu-Muhàmmad ibn Abd-al-Qàdir al-Fassí o simplement Abd-ar-Rahman al-Fassí (Fes, 1631-1685) fou un erudit musulmà marroquí nascut i criat a Fes. Fou deixeble del seu pare Abd-al-Qàdir al-Fassí i alumne d'altres savis. Fou cèlebre pel gran abast dels seus coneixements en múltiples camps. Es creu que va escriure unes 170 obres sobre el fiqh malaquita, medicina, astronomia i història, però la seva fama deriva principalment del seu caràcter d'alfaquí (jurisconsult). L'obra principal fou Al-Amal al-Fasi. També va escriure un llarg poema. (ca)

He wrote some 170 books and has been called the Suyuti of his time.
