- 88 Greenwich Street, auch bekannt als Greenwich Club Residences, zuvor Building at 19 Rector Street, ist ein mehrfach gegliedertes Hochhaus in New York City. Es wurde in den Jahren 1929/30 von dem US-amerikanischen Architekten im zeitgenössischen Art-Déco-Stil errichtet. Das Gebäude mit einer Höhe von 142 Metern und 37 Geschossen belegt einen ganzen Block an der Südseite der Rector Street zwischen der Greenwich Street und der im Financial District im Westen von Manhattan. Die Fassade ist mit Ornamenten aus grünen, gelben, braunen und beigefarbenen Terrakottasteinen geschmückt. Das ursprünglich als Bürogebäude konzipierte Haus dient seit seiner Renovierung im Jahr 2006 als Wohnanlage. Am 5. Mai 2002 wurde es in das National Register of Historic Places aufgenommen. 2012 liefen infolge von Hurrikan Sandy rund 85.000 m3 Salzwasser in das Gebäude, wodurch ein Öltank aus seiner Verankerung gerissen und dadurch leckgeschlagen wurde. Wegen des auslaufenden Öls war das Gebäude vorübergehend unbewohnbar. (de)

Built in 1929–30, the 37-story building was designed by Lafayette A. Goldstone and Alexander Zamshnick in the Art Deco style. An entrance to the New York City Subway's Rector Street station was in the basement of the building, and opened in 1931. This entrance had closed by 1941. 88 Greenwich Street was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. The building was renovated into residential condominium use in 2006. In 2012, the building was affected by flooding from Hurricane Sandy. Three million cubic feet of salt water entered the basement of the building, causing significant damage. During the flooding, water dislodged an oil tank, which cracked after hitting a ceiling beam. (en)
