- Die ITU World Championship Series 2019 (auch World Triathlon Series, WTS) ist eine Triathlon-Rennserie mit Wettkämpfen über die Olympische Distanz und die Sprintdistanz sowie als Staffelbewerb (Mixed Relay). - The 2019 ITU World Triathlon Series was the 11th season of the World Triathlon Series, the top level international series for triathlon, since its establishment in 2009. The season consisted of eight pairs of triathlon races for both a men's and woman's competition, beginning on 8 March in Abu Dhabi, and concluding on 1 September with the grand final at Lausanne, Switzerland. The season also contained five mixed relays as part of the Mixed Relay Series which offers national teams qualifying points for the mixed team relay event at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Mario Mola and Vicky Holland began the season as defending champions from the 2018 season. Mario Mola was hoping to defend his title and become the first triathlete to hold the title for four years in a row. (en)
- Les championnats du monde de triathlon 2019 sont composés d'une série de neuf courses organisées par la Fédération internationale de triathlon (ITU) dont une grande finale qui se déroule cette année à Lausanne en Suisse. Cette série porte le nom de Séries mondiales de triathlon (World Triathlon Series - WTS). Ces épreuves comportent aussi bien des courses au format M (distance olympique), soit 1 500 m de natation, 40 km de cyclisme et 10 km de course à pied, qu'au format S (sprint), soit 750 m de natation, 20 km de cyclisme et 5 km de course à pied et des courses en relais mixte (4X4). Les titres de champion et championne du monde de triathlon sur courte distance, sont octroyés aux triathlètes totalisant le plus grand nombre de points au classement général. Les titres pour les U23 (espoir) et les juniors s'attribuent sur une seule course qui se déroule généralement lors des journées de la grande finale du circuit. Les titres de champion du monde de paratriathlon ou en relais mixte sont octroyés sur une seule épreuve du calendrier. (fr)

Fue realizado bajo la organización de la Unión Internacional de Triatlón (ITU). En la Gran Final, los 1,5 km de natación se efectuaron en las aguas del lago Lemán, los 40 km de bicicleta y los 10 km de carrera se desarrollaron en un circuito urbano de la ciudad suiza. (es)

Op basis van de behaalde punten werd een eindklassement opgemaakt om de uiteindelijke wereldkampioen(e) te bepalen. Titelverdedigers waren de Spanjaard Mario Mola (mannen) en de Britse (vrouwen); De Fransman Vincent Luis nam bij de mannen de titel over en Katie Zaferes uit de Verenigde Staten won bij de vrouwen. - I campionati del mondo di triathlon del 2019 sono consistiti in una serie di otto competizioni individuali e in cinque gare di staffetta mista a squadre che hanno condotto alla Gran Finale di Losanna, (Svizzera) nel mese di settembre del 2019.La serie è stata organizzata sotto il patrocinio dell'Associazione che gestisce il trathlon a livello mondiale - la International Triathlon Union (ITU). La serie di gare individuali dei Campionati del mondo ha toccato Abu Dhabi, Bermuda, Yokohama per poi raggiungere Leeds, Montréal, Amburgo, Edmonton e Losanna. Le gare a staffetta squadre si sono tenute ad Abu Dhabi, Amburgo, Edmonton, Nottingham e Tokyo. La Gran Finale di Losanna ha ospitato anche i Campionati del Mondo Under 23, Junior, divisione Paratriathlon, decisi in un'unica gara. Gli atleti élite, uomini e donne, sono stati incoronati sulla base del punteggio finale attribuito dalla serie di gare dei campionati del mondo. Tra gli uomini ha vinto il francese Vincent Luis, mentre la serie femminile è andata per la seconda volta consecutiva alla statunitense Katie Zaferes.
