- Les eleccions generals d'Irlanda del Nord de 2011 es van celebrar el dijous 5 de maig després de la dissolució de l'Assemblea d'Irlanda del Nord la mitjanit del 24 de març de 2011. Foren les quartes eleccions d'aquesta assemblea establida l'any 1998. Se celebraren el mateix dia que les eleccions locals d'Irlanda del Nord, les eleccions de parlament escocés, les eleccions del parlament gal·lès, les eleccions locals en alguns municipis d'Anglaterra i el referèndum del vot alternatiu del Regne Unit. Com en la resta d'eleccions, aquestes es van dur a terme sota el sistema proporcional del del vot únic transferible. Un total de 218 candidats, incoent-hi 15 independents i amb candidats nominats de 14 partits polítics diferents, van competir en 18 circumscripcions pels 108 escons de la cambra. Un total de 1.210.009 persones estaven registrades per votar, un increment del 9,2% en comparació a les eleccions de 2007. La participació fou del 55,7%, una minva de set punts percentuals respecte a les eleccions anteriors i una minva de catorze punts respecte a les primeres eleccions de 1998. Com en les eleccions de 2007, el Partit Unionista Democràtic (DUP) i Sinn Féin (SF) foren els dos partits més votats a l'Assemblea, amb el DUP guanyant 38 escons i Sinn Féin 29 dels 108 escons. El Partit Unionista de l'Ulster (UUP) guanyaren 16 escons, el Partit Socialdemòcrata i Laborista (SDLP) 14 i el Partit de l'Aliança (AP) 8, mentre que tant els Verds com la guanyaren un escó, i un candidat independent aconseguia estar al parlament Després d'aquests resultats, del DUP i Martin McGuinness del Sinn Féin foren nominats i, per tant, reelegits com primer ministre i viceprimer ministre de l'Executiu. L'únic canvi en el govern va ser que l'UUP va perdre un ministeri a favor de l'Aliança. (ca)
- The 2011 Northern Ireland Assembly election took place on Thursday, 5 May, following the dissolution of the Northern Ireland Assembly at midnight on 24 March 2011. It was the fourth election to take place since the devolved assembly was established in 1998. It was held on the same day as elections for Northern Ireland's 26 local councils, the Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly elections, a number of local elections in England and the United Kingdom Alternative Vote referendum. As in the past, the 2011 election to the Assembly was conducted using the single transferable vote (STV) system of proportional representation. The 108 seats were contested in 18 constituencies by 218 candidates, including 15 independents and the nominees of 14 separate political parties. 1,210,009 individuals were registered to vote in the 2011 Assembly election (representing an increase of 9.2% compared to the 2007 Assembly election). Turnout in the 2011 Assembly election was 55.7%, a decline of almost seven percentage points from the previous Assembly election and down over 14 percentage points from the first election to the Assembly in 1998. As in the 2007 election, the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) and Sinn Féin (SF) remained the two largest parties in the Assembly, with the DUP winning 38 and Sinn Féin winning 29 of the Assembly's 108 seats. The Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) won 16 seats, the Social Democratic and Labour Party (SDLP) 14 and the Alliance 8, while one seat each was won by the Green Party, Traditional Unionist Voice (TUV) and an independent candidate. Following the results of the election, Peter Robinson of the DUP and Martin McGuinness of Sinn Féin were nominated and subsequently re-elected as First Minister and deputy First Minister on 12 May 2011. The sole change to the Northern Ireland Executive was that the UUP lost a ministerial post to the Alliance. (en)
- Bei der Wahl zur Nordirland-Versammlung 2011 am 5. Mai 2011 wurde die Northern Ireland Assembly, das nordirische Abgeordnetenhaus neu gewählt. Am selben Tag wurden in Nordirland Kommunalwahlen und im gesamten Vereinigten Königreich ein Referendum über eine Wahlrechtsänderung abgehalten. Im übrigen Vereinigten Königreich fanden die Parlamentswahl in Schottland und die Wahl zur Nationalversammlung für Wales 2011 statt. Die Wahl in Nordirland endete mit leichten Zugewinnen an Sitzen der Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) und von Sinn Féin, während die gemäßigteren Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) und SDLP Sitze verloren. Die überkonfessionelle Alliance Party of Northern Ireland gewann ebenso wie der Traditional Unionist Voice einen Sitz hinzu. Letztere war damit als neue unionistische Partei erstmals im nordirischen Parlament vertreten. (de)
