- The 2006 Africa Cup was the seventh edition of highest level rugby union tournament in Africa. In this edition, the tournament expanded from nine nations to twelve leading to a change in the format of the tournament which now includes four pools of three teams. Results from Pool 1 & 2 also counted for the 2007 Rugby World Cup qualifying. (en)

- L'Africa Cup 2006 fu la 7ª edizione della Coppa d'Africa di rugby a 15; contesa tra 12 squadre nazionali africane, si disputò tra il 3 giugno e il 2 dicembre 2006. I gironi A e B della Coppa funsero anche da terzo turno delle qualificazioni africane alla Coppa del Mondo di rugby 2007; la semifinale del torneo disputata tra le due vincenti di detti gironi designò la squadra direttamente qualificata e quella da inviare ai ripescaggi. Al torneo partecipò anche la federazione sudafricana, la cui Nazionale era comunque già qualificata di diritto alla Coppa del Mondo; la squadra mandata a rappresentare il Paese fu il South African Amateurs, che vinse il torneo battendo la Namibia, uscita vincitrice dalla semifinale contro il Marocco e, quindi, qualificata al torneo mondiale.Il Marocco, a sua volta, accedette ai ripescaggi interzona. - Puchar Afryki 2006 – siódma edycja Pucharu Afryki, oficjalnych międzynarodowych zawodów rugby union o randze mistrzostw kontynentu organizowanych przez CAR mających na celu wyłonienie najlepszej męskiej reprezentacji narodowej w tej dyscyplinie sportu w Afryce. W walce o tytuł mistrzowski brało udział dwanaście zespołów, pozostałe drużyny, które przystąpiły do rozgrywek, występowały zaś w niższych dywizjach. Mecze zostały rozegrane w okresie od 24 marca do 17 grudnia 2006 roku. Zawody stanowiły część do Pucharu Świata w Rugby 2007. (pl)
