- The 1991–92 QMJHL season was the 23rd season in the history of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. The league inaugurates the Molson Cup, awarded to the overall "Rookie of the Year," in addition to the existing Michel Bergeron Trophy and Raymond Lagacé Trophy. The top three scorers in the league, are all linemates from the Saint-Hyacinthe Laser. Centreman Charles Poulin won the QMJHL's Most Valuable Player and CHL Player of the Year. Completing the line were; left winger Patrick Poulin, the league's scoring champion; and right winger Martin Gendron, the league's Most sportsmanlike player and Offensive Player of the Year.The league went back to the players wearing a half visor. Twelve teams played 70 games each in the schedule. Verdun Collège Français finished first overall in the regular season, winning their first Jean Rougeau Trophy, and won its first President's Cup, defeating the Trois-Rivières Draveurs in the finals. - La saison 1991-1992 est la vingt-troisième saison de hockey sur glace de la Ligue de hockey junior majeur du Québec. La ligue inaugure la Coupe Molson, remis à la recrue de l'année, en plus de l'actuel trophée Michel-Bergeron et du trophée Raymond-Lagacé. Les trois meilleurs marqueurs de la ligue, sont tous des coéquipiers de trio du Laser de Saint-Hyacinthe. Le joueur de centre Charles Poulin a remporté le trophée Michel-Brière, remis au joueur le plus utile de la LHJMQ et a été nommé le joueur de l'année de la LCH. L'ailier gauche Patrick Poulin a terminé champion marqueur de la ligue et l'ailier droit Martin Gendron, a remporté le trophée Frank-J.-Selke remis au joueur le plus gentilhomme de la ligue et a remporté la Coupe Shell – Offensif remis au joueur offensif de l'année. Le termine la saison régulière au premier rang du classement général, remportant ainsi leur premier trophée Jean-Rougeau, il remporte aussi leur première Coupe du président en battant en finale les Draveurs de Trois-Rivières.
