- دوري أندية العراق للدرجة الأولى 1990–91 هي الموسم السابع عشر من الدوري العراقي الممتاز منذ تأسيسه عام 1974. فاز نادي الزوراء بالبطولة للمرة الرابعة. شارك نادي الكرخ في الدوري للمرة الأولى كبديل لنادي الرشيد الملغي. وبعد انتهاء المرحلة الأولى قرر وزارة الدفاع إلغاء فرقها (الطيران والجيش والبحري) وبعد اقل من أسبوعين إعادة نادي الطيران فقط واعادة تسمية القوة الجوية. كما انسحب نادي أربيل من الدوري بسبب الانتفاضة الشعبانية ولعب منتخب الشباب المرحلة الثانية مكانه. - The 1990–91 Iraqi National Clubs First Division was the 17th season of the competition since its foundation in 1974. The league title was won by Al-Zawraa for the first time since the 1978–79 season. They also won the Iraq FA Cup to complete the double. At the halfway stage of the season, the Ministry of Defence decided to dissolve its teams (including Al-Tayaran, Al-Jaish and Al-Bahri) as part of cutbacks following the Gulf War. After protests from supporters, Al-Tayaran were brought back within less than two weeks but under the new name of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya (meaning Air Force), which was the name the club had used prior to 1974. Also at the halfway stage of the season, Erbil withdrew from the competition due to the 1991 uprisings in Iraq, so the Iraq U19 team was brought in to play the remaining half of the season. (en)
- La saison 1990-1991 du Championnat d'Irak de football est la dix-septième édition de la première division en Irak, l' Iraqi Premier League. La compétition se déroule sous la forme d'une poule unique où les seize meilleurs clubs du pays s'affrontent deux fois au cours de la saison, à domicile et à l'extérieur. À l'issue de la compétition, les deux derniers du classement sont relégués et remplacés par les quatre meilleurs clubs de deuxième division. C'est le club d'Al-Zawra'a SC qui remporte le championnat cette saison après avoir terminé en tête du classement final, avec cinq points d'avance sur Talaba SC et sept sur Al Shorta Bagdad. C'est le quatrième titre de champion d'Irak de l'histoire du club, qui réussit même le doublé en s'imposant en finale de la Coupe d'Irak face à Al Jaish Bagdad. Plusieurs événements ont marqué la saison. D'abord, deux des plus grands clubs du pays changent de nom durant la compétition : Al Rasheed devient Al-Karkh SC et Al Tayaran Bagdad prend le nom d'Al Qowa Al Jawia Bagdad. Ensuite, trois formations quittent le championnat à la fin de la phase aller : Al Jaish Bagdad, Arbil SC et . Pour pallier ces forfaits, c'est une sélection de jeunes joueurs irakiens qui s'engagent en championnat, qui se termine donc avec 14 équipes. (fr)
