The 1950 CCNY Beavers football team was an American football team that represented the City College of New York (CCNY) as an independent during the 1950 college football season. He then played professional football with the Passaic Red Devils of the American Association. Mondeschein worked as the backfield coach at several high schools in the New York metropolitan area and was the head football coach at The High School of Commerce in Manhattan in 1942. He returned to CCNY as backfield coach in 1947, assisting for two seasons and then Tubridy in 1949. Mondeschein was not related to fellow New Yorker Irving Mondschein, a well-known decathlete, who had played football at New York University (NYU) in 1946 was coaching at Pennsylvania's Lincoln University in 1950.
