- Elections to the temporary National Congress were held in Belgium on 3 November 1830, following the declaration of independence from the Netherlands. The elections were held using a modified form of the Dutch system, as defined by the Orders of the Provisional Government of 10 October and 12 October 1830. 200 members were elected by plurality in constituencies of varying sizes, and suffrage was restricted to taxpaying men over the age of 25, with a higher tax threshold in urban areas than rural ones. Although clergy and academics were exempt from the restrictions, only around 1% of the country's population was eligible to vote. (en)

Las elecciones se llevaron a cabo utilizando una forma modificada del sistema electoral holandés, según las órdenes impartidas por el el 10 y 12 de octubre de 1830. 200 miembros fueron elegidos en distritos plurinominales de distinto tamaño, además de que el sufragio fue restringido a hombres contribuyentes, con un umbral fiscal más alto en las ciudades que en el campo. Aunque tanto el clero como los académicos estaban exentos de estas restricciones, menos del 1% de la población cumplía los requisitos para votar. Como primer ministro fue nombrado Étienne Constantin de Gerlache, pero su gobierno fue efímero y fue reemplazado por Joseph Lebeau.
