- La peinture de Dong Ho (en vietnamien : Tranh Đông Hồ, nom complet Tranh khắc gỗ dân gian Đông Hồ) est un genre de gravure sur bois peinte du Viet Nam originaire du village de Dong Ho (làng Đông Hồ) dans la province de Bắc Ninh. Les artisans de Dong Ho impriment ces images sur le papier traditionnel điệp, avec des couleurs naturelles. Les thèmes sont des vœux de bonne chance, des personnages historiques, des activités quotidiennes et des allégories folkloriques. Dans le passé, la peinture de Dong Ho était un élément essentiel de la fête du Têt. Cette tradition a progressivement diminué sous l'influence de la peinture moderne et des contrefaçons. Cependant, l'art des peintures de Dong Ho est toujours considéré comme un symbole de la culture traditionnelle et une valeur esthétique du Viêt Nam. (fr)

With the consent of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Provincial People's Committee of Bắc Ninh and the specialized agencies conducting research, have set records for Đông Hồ folk paintings to be submitted to UNESCO for the recognition of intangible cultural heritage. Đông Hồ, тьы-ном 東胡), полное название «народная раскрашенная ксилогравюра донгхо» (Tranh khắc gỗ dân gian Đông Hồ, чань хак го зан зян донг хо), — жанр , раскрашенные ксилогравюры, появившийся в деревне Донгхо (làng Đông Hồ), расположенной в провинции Бакнинь, в правление династии Ле. Донгхо изготавливают на особой поблёскивающей бумаге, содержащей клейкий рис и растёртые раковины морских гребешков (con điệp) и оттого называющейся зай дьеп (giấy điệp), и расписывают натуральными красителями. Обычные сюжеты донгхо — добрые пожелания, исторические личности, повседневные дела и фольклор. В прошлом донгхо были обязательным элементом празднования вьетнамского Нового года, но эта традиция постепенно исчезает из-за распространения фальшивых донгхо и популяризации празднования Нового года по западному обычаю.
