| - Η Θεοτόκος του Φάρου ήταν Βυζαντική εκκλησία στην Κωνσταντινούπολη. Ήταν κτισμένη στο νότιο τμήμα του Μεγάλου Παλατιού και ονομάστηκε έτσι λόγω του φάρου που βρίσκονταν δίπλα της ακριβώς. Στην εκκλησία ετούτη φυλάσσονταν μια από τις σημαντικότερες συλλογές των χριστιανικών κειμηλίων της Κωνσταντινούπολης. (el)
- Die Pharos-Palastkapelle (eigentlich die Kapelle der Marienkirche am Pharos im Kaiserpalast, gr. Θεοτόκος του Φάρου), in abendländischen lateinischen Berichten des Mittelalters zumeist nur Heilige Kapelle genannt, war über das frühe und hohe Mittelalter lange Zeit der zentrale Aufbewahrungsort für Reliquien in Konstantinopel. Sie sollte nach der arabischen Eroberung Jerusalems die Funktion der Grabeskirche für die christliche Welt übernehmen. In der Pharos-Palastkapelle wurden unter anderen alle relevanten Passionsreliquien, zwei größere Stücke des heilgen Kreuzes, zwei Nägel, der Schwamm, die Lanze, eine Phiole mit Christi Blut, die Dornenkrone sowie das Mandylion aufbewahrt. - The Church of the Virgin of the Pharos (Greek: Θεοτόκος τοῦ Φάρου, Theotokos tou Pharou) was a Byzantine chapel built in the southern part of the Great Palace of Constantinople, and named after the tower of the lighthouse (pharos) that stood next to it. It housed one of the most important collections of Christian relics in the city, and functioned as the chief palatine chapel of the Byzantine emperors. (en)

Elle était ainsi nommée parce que située près d’un phare (pharos) Principale chapelle des empereurs byzantins, elle fut aussi appelée « Sainte-Chapelle » par les chroniqueurs occidentaux du Moyen Âge, car c’était le plus grand dépôt de reliques sacrées en dehors de Jérusalem et saint Louis adoptera ce terme pour désigner la chapelle qu’il fera construire en 1248 pour abriter les reliques de la passion du Christ acquises de l’empereur latin et jusque-là déposées à Notre-Dame du Phare. Essa ospitava una delle più importanti collezioni di reliquie cristiane nella città, e fungeva da principale cappella palatina degli imperatori bizantini. (it)

Ela abrigava a mais importante coleção de relíquias da cidade e funcionou como a principal capela palaciana para os imperadores bizantinos. A igreja não sobreviveu à ocupação latina na cidade. (pt)
