- الفريق المعني برصد الأرض GEO،(بالإنجليزية: Group on Earth Observations)، يقوم بتنسيق الجهود الدولية، لبناء نظام عالمي، لدعم وتنسيق نظم رصد الارض (GEOSS)، للمساعدة في مواجهة التحديات البيئية العالمية الرئيسية. حيث يربط أنظمة رصد الأرض القائمة، والمخطط لها ، ويدعم تطوير أنظمة جديدة في حالات الثغرات الملحوظة في توفير المعلومات المتعلقة بالبيئة. ويهدف إلى إنشاء بنية تحتية عامة عالمية، لرصد الأرض، تتكون من شبكة مرنة، وموزعة من الأنظمة وموفري المحتوى. - The Group on Earth Observations (GEO) coordinates international efforts to build a Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS). It links existing and planned Earth observation systems and supports the development of new ones in cases of perceived gaps in the supply of environment-related information. It aims to construct a global public infrastructure for Earth observations consisting of a flexible and distributed network of systems and content providers. (en)
- Le Groupe intergouvernemental sur l'observation de la Terre (ou GEO pour Group on Earth Observations) est un Groupe intergouvernemental, créé pour coordonner les efforts internationaux visant à créer un Réseau mondial de participants au Système mondial des systèmes d'observation de la Terre (GEOSS). Il cherche à construire une infrastructure publique mondiale pour les observations de la Terre consistant en un réseau flexible, interopérable et distribué de systèmes et de fournisseurs de contenu relatifs à l'observation de la Terre. Pour cela il soutient aussi le développement de nouveaux systèmes s'il apparaît des lacunes en matière de fourniture d'informations liées à l'environnement. (fr)
