The Committee for Safeguarding National Security of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region is a committee established by the Government of Hong Kong as a result of the enactment of the Hong Kong national security law by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress. It is supervised by and accountable to the Central People's Government (State Council). The committee is chaired by the Chief Executive, as stated in Article 13 of the law.
