- El Sistema de Tránsito Fuerte República (STFR; inglés: Strong Republic Transit System, SRTS) es un proyecto diseñado para integrar la infraestructura del ferrocarril ya presente en Gran Manila. Se propone proveer un «reliable, seamless, and integrated mass-transit system that would be at par with international standards» a través de la unificación de la infraestructura ferrocarril que ya existe bajo un solo sistema de transporte y una estructura de tarifa. El Sistema de Trenes Ligeros de Manila (LRT), el Sistema Ferrocarriles Metropolitanos de Manila (MRT) y las líneas Northrail y Southrail de los (PNR) son incluidos en el proyecto STFR. El proyecto se lanzó por la presidenta Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo el 14 de junio de 2003. (es)

It aimed to provide a "reliable, seamless and integrated mass transit system that would be at par with international standards" through the unification of already-existing rail infrastructure under one transit system and fare structure. The Manila Light Rail Transit System (Line 1 and Line 2), the Manila Metro Rail Transit System (Line 3) and the Philippine National Railways (PNR) Northrail and Southrail lines were covered by the SRTS project. - Het Strong Republic Transit System werd opgezet om de metro van Manilla en het lokale vervoer per trein beter op elkaar aan te sluiten. Het project werd in juni 2003 geïnitieerd door de voormalige Filipijnse president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Het Strong Republic was een breder gebruikte slogan van haar, een project uit deze periode dat was gericht op de integratie van autowegen en veerdiensten heette . Als doel werd gesteld een betrouwbaar, soepel en geïntegreerd vervoerssysteem te verkrijgen, dat zich zou kunnen meten met andere landen, door de bestaande infrastructuur te verenigen binnen één systeem met één tariefstructuur. Belangrijkste betrokken organisaties waren het , de beide vervoersbedrijven die drie metrolijnen exploiteren en Philippine National Railways. De geplande renovatie en verlenging van de spoorlijn Southrail (SR) en heraanleg van Northrail (NR) worden ook wel tot het project gerekend. De zuidelijke lijn werd in de praktijk ook verbeterd en voorzien van nieuw materieel. Het Northrail-project werd herhaaldelijk uitgesteld, en na enige voorbereidend werk uiteindelijk geannuleerd. Het Strong Republic Transit System werd niet voortgezet door Benigno Aquino III, hoewel zijn regering wellicht door zal gaan met het gestrande Northrail-project. (nl)
