As a result, we prototyped our core gameplay mechanics using the completed Xbox engine from our previous title, Psi-Ops. This was invaluable as we could quickly iterate on ideas with a working engine that our team was already familiar with. This really paid off, as we got the core gameplay fully functional in a flat-shaded version of our Teahouse level with almost all of the abilities the player has in the final game. (en)
