- Jinonice (německy Ninowitz) jsou městská čtvrť a katastrální území v Praze, nacházejí se v kopcovitém terénu na jihozápad od centra na levém břehu Vltavy. Sousedí s Košířemi, Motolem, Radlicemi, Hlubočepy, Holyní a Stodůlkami. Celé Jinonice spadají do městského obvodu Praha 5, z toho většina katastrálního území patří k městské části Praha 5 a malá část území na západě (Nová Ves včetně retenční nádrže Asuán na Prokopském potoku) pak k městské části Praha 13, kam byla převedena pravděpodobně při správní reformě od 1. července 2001. Součástí Jinonic je také historická osada Butovice. (cs)

- Jinonice is a district of Prague, mostly part of Prague 5, but a small area is part of Prague 13. It is located on the north edge of Prokopské údolí national park. Jinonice has been a part of Prague city since 1922. Part of Jinonice is also the historical Slavic settlement Hradiště Butovice from the 9th century. The most important local historical monument is the Church of St. Lawrence (Kostel svatého Vavřince), which was built in Romanesque style at the end of the 11th century. In 1872 the Smíchov – Hostivice railway line was built. The area is also served by Jinonice metro station on line B of the Prague Metro (en)

Het grootste deel van de wijk hoort bij het gemeentelijke district Praag 5, een klein deel hoort bij Praag 13. Jinonice heeft 3.940 inwoners (2006). De eerste vermelding van Jinonice stamt al uit het jaar 1088. Vermoedelijk bestond er in Jinonice een vesting aan de voet van de heuvel. Op deze plaats werd in 1665 waarschijnlijk door de familie Schwarzenberg een klein slot met brouwerij gebouwd. Na de Dertigjarige Oorlog waren er weinig huizen overgebleven in Jinonice. Pas in de loop van de 19e eeuw begon de bevolking weer toe te nemen. (nl)
