- Idroscalo je umělé jezero na východním okraji italského Milána, v těsné blízkosti letiště . Jezero bylo vybudováno koncem 20. let 20. století jako přistávací a vzletová dráha pro hydroplány. V dnešní době jezero slouží především k rekreaci a jako centrum vodních sportů. Jezero je 2600 m dlouhé, jeho šířka se pohybuje mezi 250 a 400 m, hloubka kolísá od 3 do 5 m. (cs)

- The Idroscalo is an artificial lake in Milan, Italy that was originally constructed as a seaplane airport. It opened on 28 October 1930, in the heyday of seaplanes. When the use of seaplanes for passenger transport declined it became a recreational and sport facility. The lake is 2,600 m (8,500 ft) long and was constructed in the late 1920s. Its width ranges from 250 m (820 ft) to 400 m (1,300 ft) and depth from 3 m (9.8 ft) to 5 m (16 ft). It is situated between the municipalities of Segrate and Peschiera Borromeo, just within Milan's city limits and near Linate Airport. (en)

Nato come scalo aereo sull'acqua alla fine degli anni venti del XX secolo, perse importanza commerciale in coincidenza del declino dei trasporti via idrovolante e, di conseguenza, trovò nuovo utilizzo come polo di attività ricreative e sportive che già lo caratterizzavano fin dai suoi primi anni, essendo uso ospitare gare di canottaggio fin dal 1934. De baan ligt aan het luchthavenareaal van Linate, een uitmonding van het bassin komt zelfs tot aan het terminalgebouw. Met het verdwijnen van het belang van vliegboten en watervliegtuigen in het luchtverkeer verloor de Idroscalo zijn verkeersfunctie, en is het nu een recreatieoord geworden. De Idroscalo is tegenwoordig vooral bekend vanwege de kanowedstrijden die hier sinds 1934 gehouden worden. Het bassin heeft een oppervlakte van 1.6 km2. (nl)
