- بريد الجنوب (بالفرنسية: Courrier sud) هي رواية للكاتب الفرنسي أنطوان دو سانت إكزوبيري (1900-1944). هي الرواية الأولى التي كتبها أنطوان دو سانت إكزوبيري، نشرت في عام 1929 من طرف دار غاليمار. فبعد التشجيع الذي حضي به على اثر نشره لقصته القصيرة الأولى الطيار، كتب الكاتب روايته الأولى على أساس رحلاته الرائدة لخدمة البريد الجوي الفرنسي فهي وليدة تأملاته في عزلته في طرفاية في الصحراء المغربية، حيث عُيّن رئيساً لمهبط الطيران، ونابع من تجربته الخاصة ومن مآسي زملائه الذين سقط كثير منهم في تلك المغامرة. - Der Roman Südkurier (französischer Titel: Courrier Sud) ist ein Werk des französischen Schriftstellers und Piloten Antoine de Saint-Exupéry. Der Schriftsteller schrieb den Roman in der menschenleeren Gegend des Saguia el Hamra, die ihn inspirierte. Nach dem Erscheinen seiner Novelle L’aviateur (Der Flieger) überarbeitet Saint-Exupéry diese und macht aus ihr seinen ersten Roman. Er erzählt anhand von Notizen, die während des Flugs gemacht wurden, die Geschichte eines Postfliegers, der in Richtung Süden, über Spanien, Marokko und Mauretanien bis nach Dakar fliegen soll, wo er nicht ankommt. Ein Suchtrupp findet seine Leiche neben dem zerstörten Flugzeug in einem von bewaffneten Banden kontrollierten Gebiet Mauretaniens. Der Postsack ist unversehrt. Der Roman endet mit der telegrafischen Meldung: „Dakar an Toulouse: Post gut angekommen Dakar. Stop.“ (de)
- Courrier sud, translated as Southern Mail and Southern Carrier, is the first novel by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, published in 1929. Encouraged by the publication of his short story The Aviator, Saint-Exupéry followed up with this work based on his pioneering flights for the French airmail service. A structured novel, it has three sections, the shorter outer sections being set in the heat and daylight of the Sahara Desert, the long central section in France at night and in pelting rain. The story thread consists of an investigation into the disappearance of an aviator in the Sahara. The novel was adapted into the 1937 French film Courrier sud directed by Pierre Billon. (en)
