- Comayagua International Airport (IATA: XPL, ICAO: MHPR), or Palmerola International Airport, is an international airport located 6 km (4 mi) south of the centre of Comayagua, Honduras. The airport was inaugurated in October 2021 as the country's new international airport for civil and commercial use. It was built at the facilities of the Soto Cano Air Base. The airport is one of the most important airports in the country, and has a capacity greater than the Toncontin International Airport in Tegucigalpa. This airport serves not only Comayagua but also the residents of Tegucigalpa due to the limitations on growth of Toncontin. From October 2021, Comayagua became the main airport for the capital. The airport has a capacity of 20 aircraft. The terminal is more than 39,000 square metres (420,000 sq ft) in size, approximately four times the size of Toncontin in Tegucigalpa. The airport has the third longest runway in Honduras after the Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport in San Pedro Sula and the Golosón International Airport in La Ceiba. (en)

Es el aeropuerto internacional principal de la zona centro-sur-oriente del país, incluyendo con ello a la capital Tegucigalpa. El aeropuerto fue diseñado para reemplazar al Aeropuerto Internacional Toncontín en Tegucigalpa debido a las limitaciones de este para crecer. Se construyó en las instalaciones de la ya existente base aérea José Enrique Soto Cano, también conocida como «Palmerola». Fue inaugurado en octubre de 2021 como el nuevo aeropuerto internacional del país para uso civil y comercial y en diciembre de 2021 se estrenaron los primeros vuelos comerciales. El nuevo aeropuerto tiene una capacidad para 1,7 millones de pasajeros al año y puede atender a 20 aeronaves simultáneamente. La terminal cuenta con una superficie de más de 39.000 metros cuadrados construidos, aproximadamente cuatro veces el tamaño de Toncontín. Tiene la tercera pista de aterrizaje más larga de Honduras después del Aeropuerto Internacional Golosón en La Ceiba y el Aeropuerto Internacional Ramón Villeda Morales en San Pedro Sula. (es)

L'aéroport a été inauguré en octobre 2021 en tant que nouvel aéroport international du pays à usage civil et commercial.
