- ARI (Autofahrer-Rundfunk-Informationssystem) byl německý systém zavedený v roce 1972, který rozsvícením kontrolky na autorádiu informoval řidiče o skutečnosti, že stanice obsahuje vysílání o situaci v dopravě. Systém pracoval na principu přidružení dodatečné nosné frekvence k běžnému vysílání. Změnou charakteristiky této nosné byla autorádia informována, že dopravní vysílání probíhá právě teď. Díky tomu mohla reagovat např. zesílením hlasitosti nebo pozastavením přehrávání kazety a přepnutí na živé vysílání rozhlasu. Tento systém byl dříve hojně využíván v sousedním Německu, v Česku byl využíván jen pár let, než jej nahradil modernější Radio Data System (RDS). (cs)

Developed jointly by IRT and Blaupunkt, it indicated the presence of traffic announcements through manipulation of the 57kHz subcarrier of the station's FM signal. ARI was rendered obsolete by the more modern Radio Data System and the ARD stopped broadcasting ARI signals on March 1, 2005. (en)

Développé conjointement par l'IRT et Blaupunkt, il indiquait la présence d'informations trafic par la modulation d'une sous-porteuse à 57 kHz du signal de la station. Le Radio data system (RDS), plus récent qu'ARI, a au départ été conçu pour permettre une diffusion simultanée des signaux RDS et ARI par une même station. Cependant, RDS a repris, en les complétant grandement, toutes les fonctionnalités d'ARI, si bien qu'il a rendu ce dernier obsolète. ARD a arrêté la diffusion des signaux ARI le 1er mars 2005. (fr)
