- The 2008 edition of R League (the Korea Professional Football Reserve League for the reserve teams of the top football clubs in South Korea) was held during K League season. Since 2008 season, Daegu FC and Daejeon Citizen participated for the first time. Incheon United won the competition by defeating Pohang Steelers in final on penalties on 23 October 2008. (en)
- 프로축구 2군리그 2008는 K리그의 2군리그인 프로축구 2군리그의 10번째 시즌이다. 2008 시즌에는 대구 FC와 대전 시티즌이 처음으로 참가해 경찰청 축구단 및 K리그의 모든 팀이 참가한다. 3월 20일에 개막하여 10월 23일에 마지막 경기가 치뤄진다. 15개 팀은 두 개의 리그로 나뉘어 리그를 진행하고 2군리그 챔피언십에는 각 조의 우승팀(2팀) 및 준우승팀(2팀)이 진출해 2군리그 플레이오프 및 챔피언 결정전을 치른다. 중부리그는 7팀으로 구성되며 3라운드로빈(팀별 18경기)으로 진행된다. 남부리그는 8팀으로 구성되며 3라운드로빈(팀별 21경기)으로 진행된다. 2군리그 플레이오프는 단판 경기로 10월 2일에 개최되며 각 리그의 우승팀은 상대 리그의 준우팀과 맞붙는다. 2군리그 플레이오프에서 우승한 2팀은 2군리그 챔피언 결정전을 치른다. 챔피언 결정전 1차전은 10월 16일에, 2차전은 10월 23일에 개최된다.
