- The 2000–01 Polish Volleyball League was the 65th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 1st season as a professional league organized by the Professional Volleyball League SA (Polish: Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej SA) under the supervision of the Polish Volleyball Federation (Polish: Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej). Mostostal Azoty Kędzierzyn-Koźle achieved their 3rd title of the Polish Champions. (en)
- Polska Liga Siatkówki 2000/2001 − 65. edycja mistrzostw Polski, po raz 48. przeprowadzona w formule ligowej, a po raz pierwszy jako liga profesjonalna. Organizatorem rozgrywek była Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej SA. Zmagania zainaugurowano 29 września 2000 roku, a zakończono 11 kwietnia 2001 roku. Rozgrywki składały się z fazy zasadniczej, w której uczestniczyło 10 zespołów, fazy-play-off składającej się z ćwierćfinałów, półfinałów, meczów o miejsca 5-8, meczów o 3. miejsce i finałów oraz fazy play-out, w której zespoły rywalizowały o miejsca 9-10. Tytuł mistrza Polski obronił Mostostal-Azoty Kędzierzyn-Koźle, który w finałach fazy play-off pokonał drużynę Galaxia Jurajska AZS Bank Częstochowa. Brązowy medal zdobyło Jastrzębie Borynia. W sezonie 2000/2001 w Lidze Mistrzów Polskę reprezentował Mostostal-Azoty Kędzierzyn-Koźle, w Pucharze Top Teams – Stilon Gorzów, natomiast w Pucharze CEV – Galaxia Jurajska AZS Bank Częstochowa.
