- 『ソロモン』（英語: Solomon）HWV 67は、ゲオルク・フリードリヒ・ヘンデルが1748年に作曲したオラトリオ。同年5月5日から6月13日までの約1ヶ月で作曲された。 作者不明の台本は、旧約聖書の列王記 第1巻・歴代誌 第2巻と、歴史家フラウィウス・ヨセフスの古代ユダヤ伝の賢明王ソロモンの伝記に基づいている。初演はロンドンのコヴェント・ガーデン劇場で1749年3月17日に行われ、さらに2回上演された。カテリーナ・ガリがタイトル・ロール・ソロモン役を務めた。 オラトリオ全曲が演奏されることは稀だが、第3幕に2つのオーボエと弦楽器による短く生き生きとした曲想で知られるシンフォニア『シバの女王の入城』（または『シバの女王の到着』）があり、その部分だけが有名になり、しばしば結婚式で演奏されるほか、ロンドン・オリンピック（2012年）の開会式でも演奏された。ほかに第1幕の最後の合唱（ "May No Rash Intruder Disturb" ）は『ナイチンゲール・コーラス』と呼ばれ、単独で演奏される。 なお、本作は1759年にヘンデル自身の手によって改訂されている。 (ja)

The anonymous libretto – currently thought to have been penned by the English Jewish poet/playwright Moses Mendes (d.1758) – is based on the biblical stories of the wise king Solomon from the First Book of Kings and the Second Book of Chronicles, with additional material from Antiquities of the Jews by ancient historian Flavius Josephus. The music was composed between 5 May and 13 June 1748, and the first performance took place on 17 March 1749, with Caterina Galli in the title role at the Covent Garden Theatre in London, where it had two further performances. Handel revived the work in 1759. (en)

La storia si basa sulle storie bibliche del saggio re Salomone dal primo Libro dei Re e dal secondo Libro delle Cronache con materiale aggiuntivo da Antichità giudaiche dello storico antico Flavio Giuseppe. La musica è stata composta tra il 5 maggio e il 13 giugno 1748 e la prima esecuzione ha avuto luogo il 17 marzo 1749 con Caterina Galli nel ruolo della protagonista al Covent Garden Theatre di Londra, dove ha avuto altre due repliche.
