| - SS Armenian byl parník vybudovaný roku 1895 v loděnicích Harland & Wolff v Belfastu pro společnost Leyland & Co. Tento 156 m dlouhý, 18 m široký parník s tonáží 8 825 BRT poháněný čtyřexpanzními parními motory s výkonem 718 koní sloužil jako nákladní loď. 20. března 1903 byl předán pod vedení White Star Line, pod níž sloužil na trase Liverpool - New York. Během Búrských válek sloužil spolu se svou sesterskou lodí, Victorianem, jako transportní loď. V roce 1910 byl vrácen zpět Leyland & Co. Na svou poslední plavbu vyplul 3. března 1914. Potom byl odstaven. 28. června byl potopen ponorkou U-24 u Cornwallu beze ztráty na životech. (cs)

She was employed on the cargo service between Liverpool and New York City, with the passenger service between the two ports having been previously withdrawn. - L'Armenian est un paquebot-mixte de la Leyland Line mis en service en 1895. Construit par les chantiers Harland & Wolff de Belfast, il est lancé et effectue son voyage inaugural quelques jours après son sister-ship, le Victorian. Ces deux navires marquent un changement dans la politique de la compagnie, puisqu'il s'agit du premier navire de la compagnie certifié pour transporter plus d'une dizaine de passagers. Il sert également à transporter du bétail. Il commence sa carrière sur la ligne de Liverpool à Boston. En 1899, il est réquisitionné durant trois ans pour transporter des chevaux à destination de l'Afrique du Sud durant la Seconde Guerre des Boers. (fr)
