Royal Guards (also referred to as the Royal Foot Guards, Polish: Gwardia Piesza Koronna) were an elite military formation and regiment of the Kingdom of Poland and the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth directly responsible for the protection of the monarch and his family.
