Su mayor logro fue fundar, junto a Henry Sidgwick, el Day Training College de la Universidad de Cambridge en 1891. Esta fue una de las primeras instituciones de Gran Bretaña en centrarse en la formación de educadores, comparable solo al Hughes Hall, también de Cambridge, fundado por Elizabeth Hughes en 1885. (es)
- Oscar Browning OBE (17 January 1837 – 6 October 1923) was a British educationalist, historian and bon viveur, a well-known Cambridge personality during the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. An innovator in the early development of professional training for teachers, he served as principal of the Cambridge University Day Training College (CUDTC) from 1891 to 1909.
