Расположен в 10 км к юго-западу от центра города Приедор. (ru) Ljubija ist ein Ortsteil der Großgemeinde Prijedor in der Republika Srpska im Nordwesten von Bosnien und Herzegowina. Ljubija ist wegen des großen Eisenerzvorkommens weitgehend bekannt geworden. Die Eisenerzgewinnung am (440 m) bei Ljubija ist sehr alt. Auch während der türkischen Herrschaft bis 1873 gab es hier regen Bergbau und kleinere Hüttenbetriebe mit Stücköfen, in denen mittels Holzkohle in einfachen Verfahren Roheisenerzeugung betrieben wurde. Im 19. Jahrhundert hatten sich in der Umgebung des Ortes einige größere Gruben herausgebildet, wo Eisen- und Bleierze untertägig gewonnen wurden. Die bedeutendsten Lokalitäten waren Adamuša, Jazevac und Litica. Unter den ältesten Abbaustellen galt Adamuša als das regionale Zentrum des Bergbaus. Um 1910 begannen österreichische Geologen die E (de) Ljubija är en liten stad i kommunen Prijedor, Republika Srpska i Bosnien-Hercegovina, med cirka 3 945 invånare (1991). Ljubija delas upp i samhällena Donja Ljubija och Gornja Ljubija. Enligt data från 1991 var staden uppdelad i 53,81% bosniaker, 17,11% kroater, 11,79% serber, 15,09% jugoslaver och 2,2% övriga. . Kultur- och idrottslivet var mycket rikt i Ljubija. Kulturföreningen i Donja Ljubija samlade ett stort antal medlemmar under många år där man försökte bevara traditionella folkdanser och deltog i många manifestationer över hela Jugoslavien. (sv)
