Ernesto Gottfried Schmitt (born August 1971) is an American-born entrepreneur and investor of German-Uruguayan descent. He is co-founder of The Craftory, a $600m venture capital fund for cause-driven challenger brands in the consumer goods space. More recently, he founded Beamly, the second screen social television and engagement platform backed by HBO and Comcast, acquired by S&P 500 component Coty, Inc., DriveTribe alongside Richard Hammond, James May and Jeremy Clarkson, and deep learning fake-news detector Fabula AI, acquired by Twitter in June 2019.
