Demetrio Javier Sodi de la Tijera (Spanish pronunciation: [deˈmɛtɾjo xaˈβjɛɾ ˈsoði ðe la tiˈxɛɾa]; born September 25, 1944) is a Mexican journalist, businessman and politician who has served in the upper and lower houses of the Congress of the Union, and as head of Miguel Hidalgo borough from 2009 to 2012. In 2006, he unsuccessfully ran as the National Action Party (PAN) candidate for the Head of Government of the Federal District. A member of the Sodi family, he is the uncle of the actress and singer Thalía.

También ha sido diputado federal en dos ocasiones. En 2006 se postuló sin éxito como candidato por parte del Partido Acción Nacional (PAN) a Jefe de Gobierno del Distrito Federal. Sodi studeerde administratie aan de Ibero-Amerikaanse Universiteit en aan Harvard University. Hij sloot zich aan bij de Institutioneel Revolutionaire Partij (PRI) en vervulde verschillende publieke functies, waaronder voorzitterschap van de voedseldistributie in Mexico-Stad, en leidde enige tijd de supermarktketen . Hij werd in 1988 in de Kamer van Afgevaardigden gekozen.
