Saints Cyrus and John (Italian: Ciro e Giovanni; Arabic: أباكير ويوحنا, romanized: Abākīr wa-Yūḥannā; died c. 304 or 311 AD) are venerated as martyrs. They are especially venerated by the Coptic Church and surnamed Wonderworking Unmercenaries (thaumatourgoi anargyroi) because they healed the sick free of charge.

Sie lebten zur Zeit der letzten großen Christenverfolgungen im Bereich von Alexandria in Nordafrika, am Ende des 3. und zu Beginn des 4. Jahrhunderts. Ihr Todesjahr wird mit 311 angegeben. Im Deutschen werden sie auch „Cyrus der Arme“ und „Johannes der Arme“ genannt, im Italienischen heißt Cyrus San Ciro d’Alessandria, im Französischen Cyr d’Alexandrie, wobei er nicht mit Kyros I., einem orthodoxen Patriarchen von Alexandria aus dem 7. Jahrhundert, zu verwechseln ist. Gedenktag der beiden Heiligen ist kirchenübergreifend (katholisch, orthodox, armenisch, koptisch) der 31. Januar. Kopten und Orthodoxe kennen auch d (de) Святі Кир та Іван († бл. 311—312) — ранньохристиянські святі мученики, безсрібники, єгипетські лікар та воїн. Кир жив у III ст. в єгипетському місті Александрії за часів правління імператора Діоклетіана, жорстокого гонителя християн. Він був побожним лікарем, який не брав жодної винагороди, а закликав людей не грішити, бо недуги часто є наслідком грішного життя. Згодом він вступив до монастиря в Арабії. Бог дав йому чудесний дар лікувати недужих молитвою. Пізніше до нього долучився колишній вояк Іван, який прийняв св. Хрещення. (uk)
