- O sentido dos ponteiros do relógio ou sentido horário, que no Inglês se abrevia como CW de Clockwise, é o movimento circular de rotação num plano, que se desenvolve no topo do círculo para a direita, a seguir para baixo e depois para a esquerda, retomando o ponto original no topo. O movimento contrário, que vai no sentido oposto ao descrito, é o sentido contrário aos ponteiros do relógio ou sentido anti-horário, que no Inglês se abrevia como CCW de Counterclockwise. - Draaien in wijzerzin (Vlaanderen), met de klok mee of rechtsom (Nederland) draaien is een manier om een aan te geven, in dit geval zoals de draaizin van een klok met wijzerplaat: 12 → 3 → 6 → 9 → 12. Het rechtsom draaien is in de bovenkant naar rechts draaien, dit kan verwarrend zijn omdat dan de onderkant naar links gedraaid wordt. Men spreekt daarom in het Nederlands eerder van met (de wijzer van) de klok mee. In de goniometrie en algemeen in de wiskunde wordt wijzerzin als negatieve draairichting gezien, en tegenwijzerzin als positieve. (nl)
