The Chelaalapí Qom Choir was created in 1962 en the Toba neighbourhood in the outskirts of the city of Resistencia, Chaco, and it turned into the first indigenous choir established in Latin America. Their name means "flock of thrushes". It has been declared cultural heritage and symbol of Chaco's culture by decree No. 1.491/2022 of the Province's government, as well as 'living cultural heritage of the Chaco Province', as proposed by UNESCO, in the year 2006.
