Caramulo is a town in Portugal. It is part of the civil parish of in the municipality of Tondela, Portugal. In Caramulo is housed one of the most important motor vehicle museums in Portugal. Among the exhibits are some very rare cars including António de Oliveira Salazar official state vehicle and the fully Portuguese built Alba sports car of the 1950s.

- O Caramulo é uma vila com cerca de 1000 habitantes localizada na freguesia de Guardão, do município de Tondela. Como o nome indica fica na Serra do Caramulo l politicamente pertence aos distritos de Aveiro (parte ocidental) e Viseu (parte oriental). Caramulo é uma vila portuguesa que nasceu da construção no século XX da Estância Sanatorial do Caramulo, próximo da aldeia Paredes do Guardão já existente. Também anteriormente tinha uma Pousada Nacional de turismo, que agora está fechada. (pt)

| - Caramulo is a town in Portugal. It is part of the civil parish of in the municipality of Tondela, Portugal. In Caramulo is housed one of the most important motor vehicle museums in Portugal. Among the exhibits are some very rare cars including António de Oliveira Salazar official state vehicle and the fully Portuguese built Alba sports car of the 1950s. Although the tourism industry in the area has had roots for many years due to Caramulo being renowned for the natural Spa baths and health establishments within an untouched forest setting, ideal for leisure activities such as cycling, walking and sightseeing, of late, further expansion of facilities is taking place to accommodate increased demand.

Caramulo é uma vila portuguesa que nasceu da construção no século XX da Estância Sanatorial do Caramulo, próximo da aldeia Paredes do Guardão já existente. O Caramulo como estância sanatorial foi criado em 1921, por Jerónimo de Lacerda, e foi a primeira vila do país a dispor de saneamento básico e eletricidade. Foi elevada a vila em 1 de Fevereiro de 1988. Nasceu para tratar de tuberculosos, mas com a progressiva erradicação da doença e os novos tratamentos, a estância foi desativada e aos poucos foram sendo encerrados e abandonados os 20 sanatórios que acolhiam doentes de todo o país. Um deles, aproveitado há mais de 20 anos serve agora as instalações do Hotel do Caramulo. Também anteriormente tinha uma Pousada Nacional de turismo, que agora está fechada. (pt)
