The Lac Bureau is a vast freshwater body of the southwestern part of the Gouin Reservoir, in the territory of the town of La Tuque, in , in the administrative region of Mauricie, in the province of Quebec, in Canada. This lake extends in the cantons of Le May, Evanturel, Myrand, Achintre and Sulte. Following the erection completed in 1948 of the , the current shape of the "Lac Bureau" was shaped by the raising of the waters of the Gouin reservoir. The water level varies significantly, being dependent on the water management of the Gouin Dam erected in 1948.

Forestry comes second. The serves the Oskélanéo River Valley and South Zone of South Bay of Bureau Lake. A forest road branch serves the west side of the latter bay. The surface of Lake Bureau is usually frozen from mid-November to the end of April, however, safe ice circulation is generally from early December to the end of March. (en)

À la suite de l’érection complétée en 1948 du barrage Gouin, la forme actuelle du « Lac Bureau » a été façonnée par le rehaussement des eaux du réservoir Gouin. Le niveau de l’eau varie significativement, étant tributaire de la gestion des eaux du barrage Gouin érigé en 1948. La gestion des eaux au barrage Gouin peut entrainer des variations significatives du niveau de l’eau particulièrement en fin de l’hiver où l’eau est abaissée en prévision de la fonte printanière. Les activités récréotouristiques constituent la principale activité économique du secteur. La foresterie arrive en second. La dessert la vallée de la rivière Oskélanéo et la zone Sud de la Baie du Sud du lac Bureau. Une branche de route forestière dessert le côté Ouest de cette dernière baie. La surface du lac Bureau est habituellement gelée de la mi-novembre à la fin avril, toutefois la circulation sécuritaire sur la glace se fait généralement du début décembre à la fin de mars. (fr)
