| - The BMW R75 is a World War II-era motorcycle and sidecar combination produced by the German company BMW. The BMW R75 stands out by its integral two-wheel drive design, with drive shafts to both its rear wheel and the third side-car wheel, from a locking differential, as well as a transfer case offering both road and off-road gear ratios, through which all four and reverse gears worked. This made the R75 highly manoeuvrable and capable of negotiating most surfaces. A few other motorcycle manufactures, like FN and Norton, offered optional drive to sidecars. (en)

- La BMW R75 fue una combinación de motocicleta y sidecar producida por la compañía alemana BMW durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial. La BMW ya producía un gran número de motocicletas populares y altamente efectivas, y desarrolló la R75 en respuesta a la petición del Ejército alemán de una máquina de mayor capacidad todoterreno. Entonces la BMW desarrolló una máquina técnicamente avanzada en la que la tercera rueda situada en el sidecar estaba conectada por un eje a la rueda trasera de la motocicleta convirtiéndola a efectos prácticos en un triciclo. Dotada de un diferencial blocante y cambio regulable de la posición de carretera a la de todoterreno, para aplicar distinta relación de marcha. La R75 era muy maniobrable y capaz sobre la mayoría de las superficies. Incluso disponía de marcha atrás. (es)
- Het BMW R 75 Wehrmachtsgespann is een zijspancombinatie van het merk BMW. De machine werd ook wel bekend als "BMW R 75 Sahara" of kortweg "Sahararad". De machine werd ingezet door de Wehrmacht tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog. In de aanloop naar de Tweede Wereldoorlog gingen veel Europese motorfabrieken militaire modellen ontwikkelen. Vooral voor de zijspancombinaties werd dan vaak gekozen voor tweecilinder boxermotoren, zelfs als de fabriek die niet in het normale productieprogramma had. Zo ontstonden de FN M-12 en de Harley-Davidson XA. (nl)
