Pavlos Carrer (also Paolo Carrer; Greek: Παύλος Καρρέρ; 12 May 1829 – 7 June 1896) was a Greek composer, one of the leaders of the Ionian art music school and the first to create national operas and national songs on Greek plots, Greek librettos and verses, as well as melodies inspired by the folk and the urban popular musical tradition of modern Greece.

Mai 1829 auf Zakynthos; † 7. Juni 1896 ebenda) war ein griechischer Komponist. Er gilt als der bedeutendste Opernkomponist der frühen Ionischen Schule und als der erste, der die neuzeitliche griechische Geschichte auf die Opernbühne brachte. In seiner Zeit in Mailand schrieb Carrer auch einige kammermusikalische Werke, namentlich Opernparaphrasen für Flöte und Klavier. Neben seinen Opern hinterließ er ein umfangreiches Lied-Œuvre, ferner Klaviermusik und liturgische Chormusik. (de)
